Inspired by ancient fertility goddess figures excavated throughout the Levant, Ashera Urn reimagines a deity once widely venerated in the region of Canaan. Archaeological discoveries have uncovered thousands of small clay figurines, often depicted with emphasized breasts as symbols of fertility, nourishment, and protection. Rather than emphasizing passive fertility alone, this interpretation evokes resilience, strength, and self-possession — a contemporary perspective on a powerful figure from the ancient world.
