ABOUT GO Gallery
(formerly Guardino Gallery)
For nearly three decades, Guardino Gallery was a cornerstone of Portland’s Alberta Arts District. Founded by Donna Guardino, the gallery spent 28 years championing artists, fostering creative community, and helping shape Alberta Street into one of the city’s most vibrant cultural corridors. Donna’s unwavering commitment to the arts centered on meaningful relationships—with artists, collectors, and neighbors alike—and a belief that art should be accessible, thoughtfully curated, and deeply personal.
In 2020, Guardino Gallery expanded beyond its physical walls, building a robust online catalog that introduced Portland-area artists to collectors nationwide. This transition was curated and managed by Gail Owen, Donna’s protégé, longtime art handler, and trusted collaborator of over ten years. Through this work, the gallery broadened its reach while staying true to Donna’s vision: elevating artists with integrity, care, and context.
On January 1, 2026, Guardino Gallery officially evolves into GO Gallery—a 100% virtual gallery as the physical Alberta Street location closes. This next chapter honors the legacy Donna Guardino built while embracing new possibilities. GO Gallery expands the virtual catalog to create greater opportunity, visibility, and availability for Pacific Northwest artists, connecting their work with collectors across the country.
GO Gallery is rooted in legacy and driven by the future—continuing a tradition of thoughtful curation, artist advocacy, and meaningful connection, now without geographic limits.
