Gail Owen Wallpaper

Gail Owen | Artist & Wallpaper Designer

Alongside my work as curator of GO Gallery, I am a Portland-based printmaker and wallpaper pattern designer. My wallpaper designs are derived from my original hand-carved linoleum relief prints, created in my studio and developed into repeating patterns in collaboration with ManoloWalls.

Inspired largely by the plants of the Pacific Northwest, these designs translate the character, detail, and graphic strength of fine art printmaking into wallpaper for interior spaces.

GO Gallery was established to connect collectors with exceptional Pacific Northwest artists. Sharing my own work here is a natural extension of that mission, bringing original fine art prints into a new context through distinctive wallpaper designs that transform walls into works of art.

Inspired by Día de los Muertos and Lotería, the traditional Mexican card game, this design brings together small relief prints I have created over the years for annual Día de los Muertos exhibitions.

Dogwood

Clusters of red-flowering currant become a repeating botanical pattern. This early Northwest spring bloomer, a food source for hummingbirds, inspires the design.
