Liza Jones
Liza Jones is a master printmaker and a foundational figure in Oregon’s printmaking history. In 1981, she founded Inkling Studio, Portland’s influential printmaking cooperative, which became a center for collaboration among more than 100 printmakers over its 25-year history. Jones’s own work, including copperplate etchings of animals, ships, landscapes, and imaginative subjects, is held in the Portland Art Museum’s Vivian and Gordon Gilkey Graphic Arts Collection. Today, her legacy is featured in the Portland Art Museum’s Inkling Studio: Community and Printmaking in Portland, 1981–2009.
